Chlorophyll Water Drops
Ineffective Scam
The Viral Claim
"Drinking green chlorophyll drops in your water every morning detoxifies your blood and completely cures hormonal acne."
Why it exploded on TikTok
The visual of dropping dark green liquid into water looks highly 'detoxifying' on camera, and wellness influencers swore it acted as an internal skin filter.
Medical Expert Review
There are zero peer-reviewed clinical studies proving that ingesting liquid chlorophyll has any impact on acne or sebum production. Chlorophyll is just the pigment that makes plants green. While drinking more water is generally good for cellular hydration, 'detoxifying the blood' is biologically impossible via a plant pigment -your liver and kidneys handle all bodily detoxification. This trend is an expensive placebo.
